Woks and Lox is all Veronica and Jeff want for Christmas. Their intent is to celebrate the mutual respect between Jews and Asians, and make people feel better who are lonely on Christmas.
Veronica Chan was sent to grade school with a beef tongue sandwich while the rest of her schoolmates brought Lunchables and has been expanding her palate and battling against conformity ever since. Chan leads product marketing at Food52 and was most recently Director of Content at Gojee. She will be launching The Chan Deck, a test kitchen / supper club on her roof in the Spring of 2013. Find her on twitter @veronicachan and tumbling on her Tumblr.
Jeff Orlick lives to create his food and culture fantasies – like Viva La Comida, the Flushing Mall Grazing Experience, Trick or Eat Elmhurst, and his series of Ambassador Programs. Orlick keeps busy showing off the people’s food of Jackson Heights and Corona with his Roosevelt Avenue Midnight Street Food Crawl and the Tastes of the World Tour, while taking it to the iPhone on his Real Pizza of New York app. You can see more of Jeff Orlickās stuff on Iwantmorefood.com, QueensLove, and @JeffreyTastes.
